Hey Michael,

I'm a long time listener to the podcast, but this is the first time I've actually written in. Great discussion on Traffic. I remember watching this when it first came out and thinking that Soderbergh had created a modern classic. This film will be remembered for a long time to come.

Keep up the good work.

Michael,

Thanks for the comment. Yes, as I mentioned in the podcast, I own a copy of the British miniseries Traffik on DVD. It has been a few years since I last watched it, but I do remember liking it.

Jimmy,

Great line. As I mentioned in the podcast, our friend Guzman gets all the best lines. It is a fun one to set people up with.

The one line I will always remember from this great movie is "was he gentle?". Was this said by Cheadle or Guzman? I love setting people with this line.

have you seen the origional british series traffik it was based on? i think its superior to the hollywood version and harder hitting. replace coke & south america with heroin& afghanistan & pakistan. the US with the UK & germany. and extend it to 6hours as a mini series. it gets top marks.
