Reel Review #48: “It’s Halloween, everyone’s entitled to one good scare.” Check out the seminal teenage horror film - Halloween. A classic in its own right, Halloween combines an enthusiastic cast, a director with a vision and a producer who can make it happen. “But you can’t kill the boogie man!”

I seen John carpenters Halloween in 1978 when i was 10 years old.and even at the tender age of ten.i knew i was seeing a HORROR CLASSIC!!!!! from the begining of the film.music and all.I was hooked.and have been a Halloween and john carpenter FAN!! ever since. I have seen Rob zombies “take” on this classic.I didnt have no faith or excitment about a Halloween remake.AND…a rob zombie doing a remake of it.I saw his two other films.I do consider them pretty good.but in a cheesy way. This wasnt Halloween to me.It was hulk in a mask that looked like the shape.a kid with the name micheal myers.a EGO-HEAD doctor poorly wearing the name of Dr.sam loomis.A…whatever! anyways…it begins and ends with Halloween. That is JOHN CARPENTERS!! without the brother/sister concept.Though i DO consider H2 to be the only worthy myers chapter.I can consider related or not.if you know what i mean.
