Disney Podcast Equipment

I’ve received some emails asking about the equipment I used for the Disney Podcast. The equipment was pretty straight forward. I used my Marantz PMD 670 and a Sennheiser MD46 microphone (highly reccomended). I can’t say enough good things about the MD46 mic. It was suggested to me for use on the red carpet and outdoor interviews. It worked superbly. We also had on hand an Edirol R-4 and a pair of Shure SM 57s. We used the Edirol to record line input audio of the press feeds (we didn’t actually use much of that audio in the podcast.)

    Mike:

What was the recording medium? Do you master on a hard drive ( a laptop in the field) or a mini disc?

I also love my md46. saddly it seems that it has now been discontinued? I can’t see if it has been replaced by anything. where else can we find a directional mic that handles wind and handling noise with aplomb and doesn’t make you worry about plosives??

John, try BSW. The MD46 is still showing available there. BSW
