I’ve been telling people that Michael is one of the greatest behind the scene stars of podcasting, and he pulls it off yet again. Not to discredit the awaesome work he does with Reel Reviews either, but this guy is a podcasting powerhouse.
He took the words right out of my mouth when I saw that he was doing an interview podcast of the stars of podcasting. After hearing what he did with it, I’m glad I didn’t attempt it. He simply is one of the greatest and most inventive podcasters out there.
This Disney thing is only another step in the right direction. Anytime we can get these major corporations into podcasting it is amazing. As Adam said about the Paris Hilton podcast…for the execs to be talking about podcasting, it is probably one of the the lengthiest things they have talked about. They have to explain it, debate how it will work for them, etc.
I look forward to this and the future endeavors of Michael, and am glad to of personally met him and will be seeing him again soon! I wish you well in this and all your future projects Michael. Until LA….take care!
Hopefully this will expand after the 50th celebration is over. Disney usually has reallly good shows to promote. I’ve added it to my directory. BTW – Great show in the Reel Reviews Radio.
I’ve been doing the unofficial Disney podcast (The MousePod) since January, and I have to say that I’m thrilled that Michael is going to be launching the official show. It would have been so easy for Disney to just give us some pre-packaged content. Instead, we’re going to get a show produced by some real pop culture mavens. Bravo and good luck!
I’m just a hugh Disney fan and a new Podcast fan. Congratulations on the Disneyland Podcast and I very much look forward to hearing all about the 50th. Many thanks, Lou M
Boy am I jealous! I wish I had launched my Inside the Magic podcast earlier… perhaps I’d be there too. I’m listening to the first Podcast now and I wish I had been at Disneyland all day with you. Great job and I can’t wait until the next two. Keep up the good work!
Tomorrow will be so exciting. I enjoyed your podcast. Even as a cast member, I heard some things I hadn’t heard (or maybe they slipped my mind) in your podcast. Keep up the good work. I hope to see you around tomorrow. I’ll be in Star Command, a.k.a. Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters.
The first one was awsome. Listened to it while walking around California and while flying on Soaring. Hope today’s is ready by 7am so I can download it and take it with me to the park.
Thanks to everyone who is commenting. I have been so busy, I haven’t had a chance to post replies or comments. When everything is finsihed, I’ll put together a comprehensive post on the whole experience. Doing the first (I know of) record all day, edit at night podcast, I am learning a lot – such as how to survive on 2 hours sleep a night. However, I am having a blast! DIsney has been awesome. As an example, tonight we were on the “Gold Carpet” for a celebrity event. It ran the entire length of Main Street – read LONG! We were in position #2 and they directed everyone to us, what more can you ask for? I just forwarded the latest file (5:00 AM) and need to get an hour or two of sleep before my scheduled interview with Michael Eisner. Thanks again.
Just listened to your Disney ‘casts and they are excellent, as I have come to expect from you. When the history of podcasting is written, this will be pointed to as the seminal event when podcasting changed from being a hobby to an occupation. Could you please do all of us podcasters a favor and post another “Podcast about the Podcast” focusing on how you put this together, particularly the soundseeing portions?
Michael, you’ve done a good deed for Podcasters for sure for 2005 – accelerated our visibility and help bring credibility to the corporate podcasting arena. More more …!!

Hi Michael,
Your Disneyland podcasts were the first I’ve ever listened to and I really enjoyed them. You have an easy to listen to friendly voice and you make it “sound” like we are there. Thanks!
Wishful thinking – How wonderful it would be if you did more on Disneyland, like an audio tour. One could stand in a spot and listen to your podcast describing fun facts surrounding that area and it would also be a great way to while away the time when waiting in line. There are thousands of us who repeatedly visit Disneyland that would enjoy learning more about the park we love.

P.S. – I was wondering what is the piece of music that is heard at the very beginning of your Disneyland podcasts. Sounds familiar but I can’t quite identify it.
Thanks to everyone for the kinds words. We had a lot of fun producing the Disney podcasts. David had asked about the opening music. That was supplied by Disney and is their own composition for a music bed. (Sounds a lot like Coldplay though.)
Excellent job…enjoyed the great shows from July 15-17th. Do you know where the podcasts from the May 4th-5th festivities might be available? It appears they are no longer on the disney site.

Waiting for the May 4th file on May 5th? Would love to have it so I can take it with me to the park.

Steve,
They are moving some stuff around on their site. Hopefully they will be back up again shortly.
I’ll post when they go back up.
