Wow your podcast(discovered it through dvdtalk.com) brought back my memories of a great film. I haven’t seen the film in a long time. I just remember the opening shot coupled with Ry Cooder’s amazing soundtrack and how blown away I was by Travis walking in the desert….that and the performance of the kid who played Hunter. I love the soundtrack. It is out in my car right now. I just discovered your podcast and am looking forward to downloading them all. Keep up the good work.

Great podcast, definately will check this one out. I also loved Million Dollar Hotel, so I’ll probably love this one too. It’s available at amazon.co.uk and play.com for those in Europe, already put it in my shopping cart ;).

thanks for the “paris, texas” review. i’ve been meaning to ask you to do a review of wenders’ 1991 “until the end of the world” which is probably harder to find than “paris, texas.” UTEOTW is a film that still rattles around in my head - i’m lucky enough to own it on LD and i’m waiting for the day when it gets reissued (as a director’s cut?) on DVD. most people know this film better for its soundtrack, which stands on its own in some ways:

we’ve passed 1999 so the story has lost a little over time but i still find it totally engrossing. and robby muller does another fantastic job.
