I think this would be very cool… I hear Nicholas Brendon (Xander on the Buffy series) is up for the part of Ash. I think he’d be a good choice. The other name I’ve heard is Sean William Scott, maybe not such a great choice… Some people seem to really hate the idea of the remake. I’m all for it. Even if it’s bad. You don’t have to let the remake ruin you enjoyment of the original.
Keep up the great work Michael.
I love the idea of a remake, and hearing that Brendon is up for the role of Ash is just perfect.
After watching my first couple of episodes of Buffy, I was convinced that Joss Whedon had Ash in mind when he created and cast the role of Xander. I might have driven my girlfriend nuts with all the times I told her that Brendon could play a young Bruce Campbell.
I’m really liking your podcast, Michael. You’re getting me interested in film again.
I think I’ll have to add Evil Dead II to the list. Time to break that classic out again. I must own 5 copies of the movie including a special edition blood red laserdisc.
