Pete - I was just thinking the same thing. I am itching to do either Le Mans or Bullit. I'll see what I can put together.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm glad to hear there are others who appreciate Fred WIllard. Makes me want to try to find tapes of Fernwood 2Nite. Got to love when he played Jerry Hubbard. Metz, you are right on with the bell curve call. (Nice tie in!) You know, everytime I watch the BBC series The Office, I can't help but think the Christopher Guest has to recruit Martin Freeman, the guy who plays Tim Canterbury to be in his next mockumentary - if there is one. Martin would be perfect for that group and might help spice it up.

mike, another great choice. love that this film inspired stuff like "waiting for gaufman" and "best of show". the only thing it's missing is parkey posey as the over-bearing yoko character. reiner is a genius.

i'm pretty sure the recurring drummer deaths are mocking the grateful dead, who had similar issues with their piano players.

fred willard is getting play on leno, just a bit more than howie mandell... ouch. i agree, he deserves better.

I agree with you that Eugene Levy and Fred Willard are comedy gods. Spinal Tap and the rest of the mockumentary series are hidden treasures. Unfortunately the movies are moving in the same doward bell curve as Spinal Tap's career with A Mighty Wind being the worst of the 4.

Keep up the good reviews.
