Jaime, it was a pleasure to meet you this past weekend at BloggerCon. I like your podcast - if only I could understand it. :) As for Patton, you are very observant. Every time I do a Reel Review, I always find a couple of items I wish I had talked about - the locations in Patton are a good example. Much of the film was shot in Spain. This has to do with a number of factors - top of the list is the use of the Spanish Army. In fact, during one of the snow battle scenes, there are some shots of men and equipment moving down a road. The shot they used came about because the production was having trouble getting food up to the shooting location during the incliment weather. Since they weren't fed, the Spanish Army turned around and headded home for the day. The soldiers and equipment leaving the location are the shots used in the film.

Thanks for the comment - I'm glad you brought the subject up.

Do you know where they filmed the scenes in Tunisia (the first command given to Patton in the movie)? There is a scene with a local woman trying to sell dead chickens to Patton as he arrives for the first time and I think she is actually speaking in Spanish, saying "Oiga, oiga,
